Information only. To all who had the various innocculations. please GOOGLE the following hqbfme and read the first article it makes wonderful reading. I,d say MOD have just given us some badly needed ammunition.
This is what happened to us,when I was told of the innocculation programme I was told to make sure the guys new it was voluntary and to stagger the guys going so as if anyone suffered from bad side effects we could afford to let them recover while we carried on with our prep. As far as I am aware all my guys had the jabs.We were told we would not be getting the 3rd dose due to the conflict being nearly over. Our innocculations were recorded on our Personal Medical Record B/Med/27[Rev]. We were directed when to start taking NAPS and then it was left up to the individual when or whether they took them. BATS we were issued but never taken. Due to the distance we were away from medical aid I was given a supply of morphine auto injectors to be used in case of serious injury [thankfully never needed].These I was told were controlled drugs so had to be kept in a secure location which seemed a bit daft as if they were needed chances are it would have been pretty urgent so I am afraid common sense prevailed and I told all my lads where they were,what they were for,and trusted them.Suprise suprise it worked and they were all handed back at endex!!Bless em.
